This "Privacy Policy" applies to your use of www.cloutnow.org (the "Web
Site") operated by the Coalition for Local Oversight of Utility Technologies
(CLOUT).
Signing the petition
When a user "signs" the petition (www.cloutnow.org/petition), their name
and the other information provided with their signature will not be publicly displayed
on the Website. This information will only be presented to government representatives
as part of the petition. This information will not be sold or disclosed to other
parties.
When a user signs the petition, if they opt to receive action alerts, we will email
them only when action is needed on relevant pieces of legislation before the U.S.
Congress.
Endorsing the petition
When a user "endorses" the petition (www.cloutnow.org/endorse), only the
information entered into designated-public fields will be publicly displayed on
the Website. Other information provided with their endorsement may be used by CLOUT
to verify their identity. This non-public information will not be sold or disclosed
to any third parties.
Policy changes
We reserve the right to update and enhance our privacy policy from time to time.
The date of the last change to this policy will be displayed with this policy. Users
are responsible for checking for changes to this policy. To the extent required
under applicable law, and to the extent CLOUT possesses a current email address
of users, users will be notified by email of any material change to this Privacy
Policy.
